PROGRAM

OVERVIEW

The Super Alpine is open to all pre-1991 vehicles and is an accessible way to take part in the Super Alpine 500. As part of your registration cost you will have access to the following (two people per vehicle).
  • Entry to compete in the 2021 Super Alpine 500
  • A range of on-mountain aprés events and activities
  • Support vehicles to transport luggage/tools and supplies
  • Prizes and giveaways for completion and category awards

Thursday 15th July - Drive Day (Checkpoints 1→3)

An 0800 rally briefing & breakfast into a 0900 start outside of the Sydney Cricket Ground, we head south-west to the outskirts of Canberra to Pialligo Estate for a Super Alpine 500 Lunch event before setting off to Cooma for an overnight stay.

Friday 16th July - Drive Day (Checkpoints 4→10)

0700 Day Two briefing at The High Country Motel Cooma before tackling the challenging 7 alpine checkpoints, finishing on-mountain at Thredbo Alpine Resort. Enjoy the rest of the day Skiing the resort and finish with a Whiskey tasting event at the Denman Hotel.

Saturday 17th July - Ski & Presentation Day

0900 ‘First Tracks’ up the Kosciuszko Express for a day of Skiing finishing at 1400 for the Official Presentation Lunch Event at Kareela Hütt then ski down to the village to finish the weekend with a retro-themed ‘First Base’ party in front of the Thredbo Alpine Hotel.

Sunday 18th July - Ski & Return Trip

Option to return to the mountain for some more skiing and the journey back home from Thredbo after an excellent weekend.

To take part as a General Entrant in the Super Alpine 500 your vehicle will need to comply with the following requirements:

  • Pre 1991 Compliance Date
  • Registration & Full Insurance
  • A Love of Alpine Adventure
